Thanks for reading and do not forget to go to the homepage and vote.
Hello and welcome to today's look at the conspiracy Spoilers. I would like to start by taking a moment talking about community commander, as of the time of writing i only have two votes which is not enough, i know i made a mistake with the voting and i fixed it but if i do not get more votes i will not do the deck. ![]() Now back to today's article, we are look at the greatest thief in the multiverse, Dack Fayden. Dack Fayden is a character from the comics and stories, but this is the first card that properly features him ( Other card quote him or have him in the artwork). Dack is not going to be player able in modern or standard but it will defiantly see play in legacy. The first ability is basically Faithless Looting each turn which you can use on your opponent. The -2 will be a main factor in legacy with the play of sol rings and batterskulls taking gone of those would be brilliant. The ultimate is unlikely to be used in legacy due to the other two abilities. It could prove pretty interesting though in EDH especially with the new strive ability. Thanks for reading and do not forget to go to the homepage and vote.

The vote for the community commander colour is now on so head to the homepage for you commander colour. The vote ends on 2/6/2014 at 11:59 BST
Today's colour is a colour i am not a fan of it's white. White is a colour that i have never really been able to get into. Both of today's cards are creatures with the key word protection, protection means the creature can't be blocked, targeted, dealt damage, or enchanted by anything that it has protection from. ![]() Today's first card is a cards that you will need to rig the voting for, it's Council Guardian. This card is basically a 5/5 for 5W with protection from an unknown amount of colours. When it enters the battlefield each player votes for blue, black, red or green it gains protection from whichever has the most votes if the vote is tied it has protection from both those colours. If you have an extra vote from Brago's Representative or can convince someone to cause a tie this card can be quite good. This card is quite unpredictable as all your opponents could vote for a colour only you are playing or a colour that in not being played at all. Ratings:
![]() The next card is a card that i am still not exactly sure what i think about it, it's Pristine Angel. This a 4/4 flyer for 4WW with protection that is a bit limited. This has protection from artifacts and all colours, but here's the catch it has to be untapped so in combat it is vulnerable. It's final ability attempts to make up though, when you play a spell (so not a land) you can untap it. Looking through this set so far i do not see a lot of instant speed removal so if you can get it untapped by the end of the turn i think you should be safe. Ratings:
Thanks for reading. Just one last point starting from tomorrow i will be redoing the community commander so look out for that on the homepage Today's spoilers are a mixture of great and ok red cards from the new set conspiracy. Both of today's cards have the new mechanic Dethrone, so I am going to start by explaining how this mechanic works. Dethrone targets the player with the highest life total, when a creature with dethrone attacks the player with the highest life total you put a +1/+1 counter on that creature. ![]() The first card I am looking at today is workable but is not the best it's Treasonous Ogre. This card looks ok to begin with it's a 2/3 with two abilities but it is 4 Mana to play. The first ability is the dethrone which makes this playable and allows it to continue to get bigger, the second ability is not such a good one it is you pay 3 life to add 1 red to your mana pool. After thinking about it i did find a use for the second ability, to stop you being the target of dethrone. This card can be really good as long as you are not the player with the highest life and you have the mana to play it. Ratings:
![]() The next card is a card that is going to be a lot of fun, it's Scourge of the Throne. If you ignore the 2nd and 3rd ability it is a 5/5 flaying for 6 mana which makes it playable just as that, but with the dethrone ability it is likely to get bigger each turn. The 3rd ability is extremely strong for the first attack each turn against he player with the most life you get to untap the attacking creatures and have another combat phase. This is an absolute bomb in both the draft and EDH. Ratings:
Thanks for reading hopefully by the end of today there will be another DotP video. Conspiracy has brought to use some new and interesting artifacts that are going to change the way you draft this set. Today I am looking at two of the artifacts that will make a real difference to the draft, as these cards affect the draft they are rather unplayable out of the draft that is why you will only see the draft rating today. ![]() Today's first card it a card i want to draft but i do not want it drafted against me, it's Whispergear Sneak. This card is great to draft against someone as you get to open one of there nice shiny packs and see what is in it, or you can see what is in your next pack. Seeing your next pack can be really helpful as it allows you to plan your next few picks. This card can fit quite nicely into a draft deck as it is a 1/1 for 1 meaning you get a simple little blocker or attacker. Ratings:
![]() The next card is a card that will cause absolute mayhem in the draft due to it's craziness, it's Lore Seeker. When you draft this card you may add any booster to the draft, i think i know what i would choose (Zendikar or innistrad) . This card will mean any card could end up in your draft pool. The one problem i see with this card is that it could force the price of the draft up. This is also able to working in your draft pool as it is a 2/2 for 2. Rating:
Thankyou for reading come back tomorrow for even more spoilers. Today we are looking are cards from the new set conspiracy. The title suggests we will be looking at land cards but in actual fact we will be looking at two green cards that affect lands. ![]() Today's first card is a reprinted rare from Urza's Saga, it's Exploration. This card is currently for the original $40 online at SCG because it is just so good. For one mana you get to play an additional land but not just on one turn but on every turn. This card takes mana ramp to a whole new level. This card is already used in legacy so it must be good. Ratings:
![]() The next card is another reprint this time an uncommon from Odyssey, it's Squirrel Nest. Magic has a small amount of history when it comes to squirrels with fans of squirrels waiting for there return. This card is not the best but it will just be so fun to win with 1/1 squirrels. For 1GG you enchant a land, you can then tap that land for a 1/1 token. i just can not wait to play one of these, i may even build a casual squirrel themed deck. Ratings:
Thankyou for reading, I hope people are enjoying these article. It's been quite a while since I last had chance or time to do an article and with me trying to move the blog to something a bit neater writing articles has really gone out of the window but I am back so here goes. Magic's new stand alone draft set Conspiracy is just round the corner, this set looks like it is going to change the way people look at drafting. Although the will be cards unplayable in standard and modern they will be a lot of fun in commander. Now onto looking at two of the black spoilers. ![]() Today's cards both use the new mechanic Will of the council, so i am going to start by explain what this mechanic is. Will of the council-starting with you, each player votes for one of two options some affect you some don't. Today's first card has no affect on you but is absolutely brilliant and it is only a common, it's Tyrant's Choice. Either way you look at this it is brilliant all your opponents lose 4 life or they each sacrifice a creature for only 1B. Each player gets one vote they can choose death which is sacrificing a creature or torture which is the lose of 4 life. If the vote is tied you opponents will lose 4 life. Ratings:
![]() Today's second card is also a common, which interacts very nicely with the will of the council mechanic it's Grudge Keeper. It's a 2/1 for 1B but that's not what we are looking at we are looking at it's ability. This card either makes you opponent vote with you or pay the price for 2 life. This will make your opponent think twice before they vote. Ratings:
Thanks for reading, tomorrow i will be looking at some of the green cards from Conspiracy, if you have any hint, tips or ideas please leave a comment. |
